PAFSO is seeking an Advocacy and Stakeholder Relations Officer (ASRO) to support the Association’s strategic external influence, stakeholder relations, policy, and advocacy agenda.
Reporting structurally to the Executive Director and functionally to the President, the ASRO supports PAFSO leadership in enabling and executing the Association’s strategic external influence work. The ASRO owns the advocacy substance: the agenda, narrative, policy framing, stakeholder intelligence, and relationship-support architecture. The Communications Officer owns channel execution, digital delivery, production, analytics, and amplification.
This is a strategic-execution role, not a detached advisory role. The successful candidate will contribute ideas and strengthen the quality of strategic thinking and execution, but must also be ready to write, organize, brief, follow up, and deliver tangible advocacy products in a lean, high-performing boutique association.
The role is expected to focus approximately 50% on advocacy, policy, and stakeholder relations; 40% on Bout de Papier editorial leadership; and 10% on executive and cross-functional support.
Bilingualism in English and French is a strong asset. At minimum, the successful candidate should be able to function comfortably in a bilingual federal and public-policy environment. Full editorial-level bilingualism is an additional asset.
