Nominations are now open for 2022 PAFSO Awards

Do you know any foreign service officers who deserve recognition for their extraordinary work in 2021 and through the COVID-19 pandemic? If so, consider nominating them for a prestigious Canadian Foreign Service Officer Award!

The awards program welcomes nominations of colleagues in all 5 foreign service streams:

  • immigration
  • international assistance
  • management and consular
  • political
  • trade

Nominations can be submitted by anyone, including peers, supervisors, the private sector, NGOs and the general public. A nominee must be a career foreign service officer who is both a substantive member of the foreign service group and working in a foreign service position.

All nominations will be carefully considered by an independent panel of distinguished judges from outside the active public service. Award recipients will be announced virtually in June 2022.

The April deadline will be here before you know it, so nominators are encouraged to start preparing their submissions as soon as possible.
