Essential Services Agreements

 Essential Services Agreements:

PAFSO has signed agreements with DFAIT, CIC and CBSA concerning employees in the FS bargaining unit who occupy positions identified in these agreements that are:

  1. Code 1 employees who are prevented from participating in job actions/strike from day one.
  2. Code 2 employees who can participate in job action/strike unless they are called to replace a Code 1 employee.
  3. Code 3 employees who can participate in job actions/strike unless the circumstances identified in the letter they receive becomes a reality. In these cases the employee would have to cease any form of job action.

For a complete list of all of the positions identified in these agreements please click on the links below. If your position is not on this list you may participate in all legal forms of job actions. If you receive a letter from the department advising you that you are essential, and the position is not on the list of positions identified in the posted agreements, please call the PAFSO office.
